Moscow's HEFT returns with an atmospheric 5 track offering. Ethereal, melodic chords flow over crisp, tightly arranged percussion blurring the boundary between autonomic DNB and ambient electronica.
"Teetering on drum’n bass edges and cinematic sound design, there are exploratory low-end spaces encompassed on Anagram by HEFT. Creating maximum depth with minimal sound sources (it seems) each track is a revision or extrapolation of the previous. Ambient undercurrents are pinned by echoed dub inflections while static charges shimmy through vibrational bass as it all comes together succinctly. Subtle yet manipulated bleeps rummage through these next level productions offsetting each other in blissful accord. As Anagram engages the listener with surreal and ethereal subatomic streams of consciousness, as a whole, saturated electronic fortresses are revealed and each track stands firmly on its own."
Euphony is super catchy and pops into my head often. And I'm really addicted to Particle Fields!! Love its light, floaty, spacey vibes; feels like drifting into the either, or floating down the corridor of a space station, catching a passing glimpse of Earth. Μaπ Β
whoa. tracks 4-8 sent me on an expedition filled with several hypnagogic jerks created by near hypnotic states. this collection is a bold foray into various styles that left me scratching my head, nodding and then smiling inside. excellent gray matter. recommended Ews Nsj
